Joe Hisaishi received the LA Film Critics Association "Best Score" award for his score of Howl's Moving Castle.
It is a great score and he deserves the recognition. It is especially nice to see him get the award from an American association.
Of note, Howl's Moving Castle lost to Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit in the "animation" category. Too bad for Miyazaki, because this probably means he won't get an Academy Award either.
